Little Canada, MN – Mary Beth Larson-Quam, 78, of Little Canada, MN passed away on April 1st, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 26th, 1948 in Moorehead, MN.

She was a caring wife to Gary Quam and a devoted mother to Michael Quam. People loved her for her kindness, compassion, determination, and ability to bring happiness to those around her.

Mary worked as an adapted physical education teacher in the Mounds View district and truly enjoyed the time she had with so many wonderful students.

In her spare time, she liked quilting, gardening, cross-country skiing, biking, canoeing, reading, and soaking up the sun on warm summer days. She really loved being part of her quilting group and the north star ski club.

Mary is survived by her husband Gary Quam; son Michael Quam; brothers Paul (Deb) and David (Miriam) Larson; sister Beverly Pomeroy; their extended families; and many dear friends and neighbors who meant a lot to her.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be planned for June or July on a date yet to be determined.
