THUNDER BAY – Officers from the Thunder Bay Police Service are looking into a reported assault that took place in the Boulevard Lake area after they responded to a call on Thursday morning.

The suspect has not been found yet, and the investigation is still ongoing.

People using recreational trails in the vicinity are being advised to exercise caution while officers continue their patrols and try to identify the individual involved.

Police Release Suspect Description

The suspect is thought to be wearing a yellow, orange, and white plaid jacket.

According to police, the individual is light-skinned, likely in his 30s or 40s, with some grey in his hair and an untidy appearance.

If anyone sees someone matching this description, they are encouraged not to approach them and to contact law enforcement instead.

Trail Users Advised to Stay Safe

The police recommend that residents who use trails and recreational areas near Boulevard Lake take basic safety measures.

It’s best for residents to walk with another person when possible, avoid using headphones or earbuds that block out surrounding noises, stay alert about their environment, and steer clear of dark or secluded areas.

Boulevard Lake is one of Thunder Bay’s most frequented recreation spots featuring walking paths, green spaces, and waterfront access. The police presence will remain strong as the investigation progresses.
