Ontario Provincial Police report that they’ve taken one individual into custody during a homicide investigation in Simcoe, while also searching for a person who is currently missing.

Authorities say they received a call to a residence on Head Street South on October 5, where they discovered a woman who had passed away. She has been identified as 71-year-old Barbara Morgan.

The police have arrested her son, 45-year-old Justin Morgan from Simcoe, on charges of second-degree murder. He is expected to appear in court on Saturday.

An OPP press release indicates that officers are also worried about the well-being of 49-year-old Robert Skyes from Simcoe, who was last spotted on Head Street South on October 4.

They describe the missing man as white, approximately 5’10”, with long dirty blond hair often tied back in a ponytail and sporting a long beard.
