You Gov surveyed 2,255 U. S. citizens earlier this month about their opinions on 11 recent first ladies using a scale from “Outstanding” to “Poor.” Thirty-six percent rated Melania as “poor,” while another 10 percent said she was “below average.” About 18 percent found her “outstanding,” and an additional 12 percent thought she was “above average.” This gave her a net approval rating of -16. The only first lady who scored lower than Melania was Hillary Clinton, who infamously lost the presidential race in 2016 against Donald Trump. In this poll, 33 percent rated her as “poor,” with another 11 percent saying she was “below average,” resulting in a net rating of -17. On a positive note, Jackie Kennedy, Rosalynn Carter, and Nancy Reagan emerged as favorites among respondents with net ratings of +56, +32, and +25 respectively. open image in gallery According to You Gov’s findings (REUTERS), Melania Trump holds the title of second least favored first lady.

Melania and Donald Trump also showed comparable negative ratings (-16 vs. -20).
