The presidential and VIP aircraft will feature red, white, and blue hues according to various sources including CBS News and Fox News. Additionally, there’s talk of incorporating a gold stripe into the design. This change signifies a departure from the classic blue and white color scheme established during former President John F. Kennedy’s time in office back in the 1960s. The new look resembles that of Trump’s personal jet, often called “Trump Force One,” which has a navy body complemented by a red stripe. An Air Force representative informed CBS News that this update will affect Air Force One jets as well as other planes within the executive fleet, including a luxurious Boeing jet worth $400 million that was donated by Qatar last year. open image in gallery These changes mark the end of the blue and white Air Force One design, which dates back to the 1960s (AFP via Getty Images) The Qatari jet-accepted by Trump’s administration despite criticism from both Democrats and Republicans-might be ready for presidential use this summer. The updated design will also extend to smaller C-32 aircraft used for transporting high-ranking U. S. officials like cabinet members, vice presidents, and first ladies as reported by CBS News.

CBS News reports that one C-32 has already been repainted and should be delivered soon.
Trump’s ideas about Air Force One go back to his first term in office. However, plans for this new color scheme were halted under former President Joe Biden’s administration.
“Red, white and blue,” Trump told CBS News in 2018. “Air Force One is going to be incredible. It’s gonna be the top of the line, the top in the world. And it’s gonna be red, white and blue, which I think is appropriate.”
The Independent has reached out to both the White House and Defense Department for comments regarding these potential costs for taxpayers associated with these changes.
