One person has sustained life-threatening injuries after a collision north of Brampton on Wednesday morning.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident on Highway 9, located between Highway 50 and Humber Station Road in Caledon, according to the Ontario Provincial Police who shared updates on X at 8:30 a. m.
A transport truck was involved in a crash with a passenger vehicle, police confirmed.
Authorities reported that one individual was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
In an update around 9:30 a. m., the OPP announced that Highway 9 remained completely shut down between Highway 50 and Humber Station Road. The road closure is anticipated to last for several more hours as investigators continue their work at the site, police indicated.
Drivers are advised to find alternative routes.
