Canada’s largest supply chain firm teams up with Ontario’s top racing event

MARKHAM, Ontario (April 9, 2026) – Metro Supply Chain is coming on board as the exclusive logistics sponsor for the first-ever Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham. This partnership highlights their shared values of precision, timing, and teamwork that are essential to launching a brand-new world-class race track. Metro Supply Chain applies these same principles to develop advanced supply chain solutions that help its customers keep their operations running smoothly.

Under this multi-year agreement, fans will see Metro Supply Chain branding around the track, including an exclusive turn branding takeover and various signage and video board s throughout the venue. Additionally, Metro Supply Chain will hold naming rights to the support series paddocks. The Metro Supply Chain Support Series Paddock will serve as temporary team garages for events such as the NASCAR Canada Series, USF Pro 2000 presented by Continental Tire, USF 2000 presented by Continental Tire, and the Emzone Radical Cup Canada presented by Michelin.

“World‑class racing depends on world‑class execution,” said Chiko Nanji, Group Chairman of Metro Supply Chain. “The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham mirrors our dedication to precision, timing and teamwork in our daily work; we’re excited to support this groundbreaking event in Ontario.”

“We’re thrilled to have Metro Supply Chain join us for the first Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham,” said Jeff Atkinson, president of the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham. “As Canada’s leading logistics company, having them as a partner for York Region’s biggest upcoming sporting event was essential.”

The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham is relocating from its long-time home at the Exhibition Centre in Toronto to Markham for the first time in 2026 through a multi-year arrangement. Attendees can look forward to an exhilarating three-day festival from August 14-16 featuring some of the best drivers worldwide competing on downtown Markham’s streets-highlighted by NTT INDYCAR SERIES’ annual visit to Canada and its only international race within an 18-race series.

The temporary track spans 12 turns over a distance of 3.52 kilometers (2.19 miles) and will be constructed in eastern downtown Markham between Kennedy Road, Enterprise Boulevard, Unionville GO tracks and Highway 407. Key features include a double-sided pit lane along with thrilling straightaways and complex sections. The City of Markham has already initiated preliminary work on building this track in coordination with Metrolinx’s Unionville GO Station which includes completing a double-sided pit lane alongside other road enhancements throughout the festival area.
