A man from Mississauga is facing charges for impaired driving following a single-vehicle accident that happened Saturday night on Highway 403 in southwestern Ontario.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, officers arrived at the crash site just before 9:30 p. m. The incident took place in the westbound lanes of this major highway, located east of Muir Road and southwest of Branford.
After looking into the situation, police charged the driver involved in the collision.
The 20-year-old from Mississauga is facing charges for:
Operation while impaired (alcohol and drugs). Operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration over 80).
He’s set to appear in court in Brantford on February 27, as stated by police.
The OPP reminds everyone that driving under the influence, whether from alcohol or drugs, remains one of the top causes of serious accidents and fatalities on roads in Ontario.
