After weeks of construction, a new Tim Hortons has finally opened its doors.
This week, Mayor Kevin Ashe and Councillor David Pickles both took to social media to celebrate the grand opening of the new Tim Hortons located inside the Pickering GO Station (1306 Bayly St).

“A great addition to our GO station at this morning’s grand opening,” Pickles shared on social media, posting several photos from the event.
The grand opening was also recognized by Invest Pickering, which handles the city’s economic development and strategic projects, calling it a wonderful perk for commuters looking to grab a coffee or snack before their train ride.
Construction on this Tim Hortons location was completed earlier this year.
The opening celebration included balloons, plenty of coffee, Timbits, and two fun mascots-a friendly bear and a giant Tims coffee cup that stood as tall as a person.
Congratulations to the newest @Tim Hortons location, located right at the Pickering GO Station! Commuters can now pick up their coffee right from the station during their morning ride. ☕🍩 pic. twitter. com/f Ickjc NUmv

Ashe expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making this café happen.
“Big congratulations to Chantal and the team on the opening of Tim Hortons at Pickering GO Station. A welcome addition for commuters and our community,” Ashe posted on social media.
Tim Hortons operates nearly 4,000 locations throughout Canada and is famous for its coffee, doughnuts, bagels, sandwiches, and more.
The new location has received some positive comments.
“Long overdue. Glad to see some kind of food & drink option back in the GO station,” one user wrote on Facebook.
This location is open from 6 a. m. until 8 p. m., every day of the week.
