Mother Nature had more November snow ready for commuters from Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Snow squall warnings were issued for Woodstock and Stratford, predicting up to 20 centimetres of snow by Tuesday.

The latest update from Environment Canada indicated that the snowfall would affect those areas until Tuesday afternoon.

“Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow,” reads the alert.

“Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.”

In Waterloo Region, both Southern and Northern Wellington County, which includes Guelph, Erin, Mount Forest, and Arthur, are under a winter weather travel advisory.

“Heavy lake effect snow off Georgian Bay will continue to affect areas east of Fergus tonight (Monday) through Tuesday morning,” said Environment Canada officials.

As of Tuesday morning in Waterloo Region, there were no weather alerts in effect; however, winds along with an additional 2-4 cm of snow affected the commute.

Good morning,

❄️Expect on-and-off flurries this morning; 2-4 cm is forecasted.

????️A snow squall warning is in effect for nearby Tillsonburg, Stratford + London, with a winter weather travel advisory for Guelph.
