Halton police are searching for a grey Honda Civic following a shooting that claimed a man’s life in the parking lot of a Mandarin restaurant in Burlington on Tuesday.

Authorities have identified the victim as Craig Mc Ilquham, 55, also known as Craig Brown, who was shot around 8:30 p. m. in the parking area of the Mandarin Restaurant located on Fairview Street, near Brant Street.

In a news release on Wednesday evening, police stated that investigators want to identify both the vehicle’s occupants and the car itself, described as a grey, newer model Honda Civic featuring dark tinted windows and black alloy rims.

Officials mentioned they believe this incident was “a targeted incident” and there is no current threat to public safety.

They are asking anyone who may have dash camera footage from Fairview Street and Brant Street between 4 p. m. and 10 p. m. on Tuesday to reach out to them.
