We are heartbroken to share the news of Kenneth Arthur Morneau’s passing at the age of 89. Ken left us peacefully at home, surrounded by his family as he entered eternal rest.

He was a devoted husband for 40 years to the late Patricia Morneau (nee Ryall) (2021) and previously married to Karen Morneau. He was a loving father to Kenton Morneau (Fiona Jenkins) and the late Kim Morneau (Jacquie Touma). He also embraced being a stepfather to Rachael Curtis (John Vanthournout), Jim Bruce, and Belinda Bruce (Jon Wood).

Ken took pride in being a grandfather to Lindy (Mark Goralewski), Mitchell (Bela Stille-Curtis), Courtney and Tara Bruce, and Natasha Koleas (Davis). He was also a great-grandfather to Hudson, Hallie, Theo, and Leo.

He was a caring brother to Gary and the late Rose Morneau (2022), Paul and Liz Morneau, the late Ron Morneau (2014) and Syd Taylor, along with Paul and Sandi Ouellette. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law Jo Ann and Reynold Caskey, Pat and Elaine Ryall, while Sue Ann and Dave Field predeceased him. Uncle Ken will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Ken started his career as a grocer before becoming manager of the grocery store. He then dedicated many years to management in quality control with National Auto Radiator in Windsor.

People will remember Ken for his warm heart and laid-back nature. He loved spending time with family during lively Morneau Breakfasts. His interests included cooking, bowling, gardening-especially growing tomatoes-travelling, reading the newspaper, and trying his luck with lottery tickets. A committed churchgoer, he had a passion for baseball as well as supporting the Montreal Canadiens. Cars were another love of his life; Cadillacs held a special place in his heart. His poodle Fritz and cat Patience brought him immense joy.

All who knew him will feel his absence deeply.

Visitation is set for Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – (Central Chapel), located at 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 2:00 – 5:00pm and again from 7:00 – 9:00pm. Visitation continues on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 10:00am until service time in the chapel at 11:00am. Interment will take place afterward at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave.). In memory of Ken, donations may be directed towards the Alzheimer’s Society. Online condolences or shared memories can be expressed with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
