Authorities in Peterborough, Ont., report that a man has been charged with stunt driving after allegedly recording himself going 150 kilometres per hour on The Parkway, where the speed limit is just 60 km/h.
The police began their investigation when they were informed about the cellphone video, and they confirmed details like the date, time, location, and speed of the vehicle involved.
“The video was posted to social media, and we were made aware of it,” a police spokesperson stated, adding that no further information would be shared.
A 26-year-old man was charged on Monday with stunt driving, speeding, and using a hand-held communication device while behind the wheel.
