Hamilton police are on the lookout for three men after an armed robbery that took place on Sunday afternoon at Cash for Gold on Fennell Avenue East.

According to officers speaking with CHCH News, around 5 p. m., three individuals wielding crowbars and a gun burst into the store located at 1119 Fennell Ave. East.

“The victim had a gun held to him and was forced to give up both the gold and the cash,” said Insp. Andrea Torrie, with Hamilton police.

Torrie mentioned to CHCH News that the suspects were seen fleeing in a black Ford SUV.

Investigators report that they were last spotted heading west on Charlton Avenue West toward Highway 403. The Ontario Provincial Police have been alerted.

At this moment, police haven’t confirmed how much money or gold was taken.

No injuries have been reported.

The authorities are urging anyone with information or video footage to come forward.

This investigation is ongoing. More updates will follow.
