A tragic multiple-vehicle accident in Norfolk County has resulted in one death and three injuries, according to police reports.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stated that they arrived at the scene of a crash involving a cement truck, a sedan, and an SUV near Simcoe at approximately 3:11 p. m. ET on Wednesday.
“The driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old resident of Norfolk County, sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” police said in a news release.
The drivers of both the truck and sedan, along with the passenger from the sedan, were transported to the hospital “with undetermined injuries.”
Authorities noted that parts of Concession 13 Townsend and Blueline Road were closed for several hours on Wednesday but have since been reopened.
