With heavy hearts, the family of Maxine Stenlund, fondly called “Max,” shares the news of her unexpected passing on April 9, 2026, at the age of 75.

Maxine was born on October 25, 1950, in Nipigon, Ontario. She was the oldest daughter of Wilbur and Betty Boulter and one of eight siblings.

Maxine loved fashion and spent many years in retail, where she made lifelong friends. She was especially recognized during her time at Dalmys. She had a great appreciation for nature and enjoyed camping throughout northwestern Ontario with her husband, Rizvan. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and found joy in spoiling them as grandmothers do.

People will remember Maxine for her warmth and caring nature towards those close to her. She had a nurturing heart and treated both family and friends with kindness and compassion.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter Svea; her son Aaron (Rachel); her siblings Eddy (Barb), Arthur (Diane), Carolyn (Forge), and Arlene (Bob); her nieces and nephew Madison, Alexa, Ruby, and Gage; along with the love of her life, Rizvan Stenlund.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Betty Boulter; her brothers Gord, Billy, and Danny; as well as her son Andrew.

A celebration of life is planned for May 17th at 1 PM at Current River recreation center. Everyone is welcome to join us.
