A resident of Carleton Place has been charged following an incident with a young woman in Perth.
According to the OPP, on the afternoon of January 19, the woman had just exited a grocery store in Perth when she encountered a man. The man allegedly blocked her from shutting her car door and made inappropriate remarks. Police report that the man fled when the woman reached for her cell phone.
The investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Colin Reid, who is from Carleton Place and is a former resident of Ottawa.
He faces charges of forcible confinement and criminal harassment.
The accused was released from custody after a bail hearing and is set to appear in front of the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on March 3.
