The ramp from westbound Highway 403 to southbound Highway 6 was closed for most of Wednesday after a tractor trailer crashed and ended up on its side, according to police.
Around 8 a. m., Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division shared several photos on X, noting that the driver was being treated for minor injuries. They later informed that officers charged the driver – a 32-year-old man from Brampton, Ont. – with careless driving.
This incident involved only one vehicle, police stated. The truck was carrying “bales of recycled material,” and authorities mentioned that cleanup efforts included collecting some of the bales that had fallen off the trailer and rolled down the road.
By Wednesday evening, the ramp was reopened after the closure had been lifted, as reported by the Ministry of Transportation’s 511 road information website.
