Winnifred ‘Wynn’ Myrtle Patricia Dilley passed away peacefully on March 26th, 2026 in Thunder Bay.

She was born on April 2nd, 1923 in Fort William to Ivy and Percy Saunders, joining her older sister Gwen and younger brother George.

Wynn married Walter ‘Bill’ Dilley (the son of Charles and Rose Dilley) on March 3rd, 1944.

She worked for the Federal Employment Insurance Commission until she retired at the age of 60.

After Bill’s passing in 1979, Wynn lived independently in her own home until she turned 100.

The couple had two daughters, Linda Gordon and Gail Poole.

For fifteen years, Wynn volunteered at the local 55+ Centre where she loved to meet both old friends and new faces.

With few relatives in Thunder Bay, she traveled often to visit family elsewhere.

Wynn had a deep affection for her grandchildren Geoff, Graham, Chris and Sarah as well as her great-grandchildren Jake, Rachel, Katie and Laurel.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to all the neighbors who helped her remain in her home for so long, especially good friends Bob Mc Millan and Todd Little.

Her friendly personality and long life allowed Wynn to enjoy many wonderful years with family and a large circle of friends who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the T. B. R. H. S. Foundation would be appreciated. Online condolences may be expressed at www. sargentandson. com.
