Ontario Provincial Police responded to a hotel in Perth around 3:30 a. m. on Sunday.
Authorities reported that they took a 21-year-old man into custody. He faces charges of forcible confinement and resisting a peace officer, related to an ongoing investigation into intimate partner violence.
The suspect has been released from custody and is set to appear in court before the end of the month.
Police stated that they will not disclose the man’s name to safeguard the victim’s identity.
