Claire C. Wisdorf, 87, from Little Canada, MN passed away on September 19, 2025, at Cardigan Ridge assisted living Care Center in Little Canada, MN. Claire was born on October 13, 1937 in Fulda, MN. After finishing high school, she joined the Rochester, MN order of Franciscans and spent 17 years there. She later pursued a career in elementary school teaching and school counseling in the Chicago, Illinois area until she retired. Following her retirement, Claire returned to Minnesota to be near her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jack and Margaret Wisdorf; her brothers Robert, Leo, and Jerry; her sister Jeanette Manning (John); her brother-in-law John Manning; sister-in-law Jo Ann Wisdorf; and nephews Terry Wisdorf and Alan Wisdorf.
Claire is survived by her brother John (Little Canada, MN) and Gene (Chaska), along with sister Margaret Gurucharri (Tom) from Louisville, KY; nieces Lisa Wisdorf, Kim Houtkooper, Kelly Scanlan, Colleen White; and nephews Jeff Wisdorf and Brian Wisdorf.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Roseville Memorial Chapel (2245 Hamline Ave N., Roseville MN). Visitation starts at 9:30 AM until the service begins at the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will take place at St. Gabriel Cemetery in MN at a later date.
