Ontario Provincial Police responded to a hotel in Perth around 3:30 a. m. on Sunday.
Authorities reported that they took a 21-year-old man into custody, charging him with forcible confinement and resisting a peace officer. This arrest is connected to an ongoing investigation into intimate partner violence.
The individual has since been released and is set to appear in court by the end of the month.
Officers mentioned that they will not disclose the man’s name in order to protect the victim’s identity.
