The annual Memories of Summer concert is set for this Saturday, August 30 at Beach Area 1

“The Town of Wasaga Beach is excited to host our 20th annual Memories of Summer concert this Saturday, August 30, featuring a beachfront live performance by one of the best Queen tribute bands in the world. You’re invited – the stage is being set up, our food truck vendors are ready with delicious options, and local businesses are eager to welcome everyone. We invite people from all over Ontario to join us as we celebrate the final long weekend of summer in Wasaga Beach, on the longest freshwater beach globally.” – Mayor Brian Smith

WASAGA BEACH, ON, Aug. 26, 2025 /CNW/ – Wasaga Beach is gearing up for an incredible live music event this summer. With one of the top Queen tribute bands lined up, along with food trucks, a beer tent, and a fantastic fireworks display at Beach Area 1, the Town’s annual Memories of Summer celebration invites attendees from across Ontario and Canada to enjoy the last long weekend of summer in Wasaga Beach.

This year marks two decades since Memories of Summer started attracting thousands from across Ontario and Canada to South Georgian Bay. Last year saw Canadian legend Tom Cochrane take center stage while rock legends April Wine entertained a crowd exceeding 12,000 in previous years.

Memories of Summer offers a unique experience that’s hard to find anywhere else in the world. Set against a starry sky on Earth’s longest freshwater beach with free general admission.

To mark off summer’s final long weekend each year typically sees over 12,000 guests gathered at our famous Beach Area 1 for this beloved Memories of Summer concert series. Previous acts have included thrilling performances by renowned Canadian artists such as Tom Cochrane and April Wine amongst others; these seaside shows wrap up with an impressive fireworks display while general entry remains FREE. The lineup for live music events hosted by The Town Of Wasaga Beach throughout summertime stands out compared to any other festival across Ontario – they unfold under twinkling stars right along those sandy shores that make it special as well as unique experiences happen here; back during twenty-five years earlier they put together more than thirty concerts & outdoor performances capped off with fireworks displays!
