Police have arrested one person and are looking for another after a man was struck with a gun at a bar in Pickering early Sunday morning.
Durham Police officers responded to reports of an armed incident at Knights Corner Pub and Grill on Kingston Road around 1:30 a. m., where two men attacked the victim and “struck him with a firearm” before they fled the scene.
When officers arrived, they found the victim with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a trauma center in Toronto.
Shortly afterward, police located one suspect and took him into custody without any issues. The second suspect remains at large.
Thomas Scot Mc Donald, 35, from Wasaga Beach faces charges of assault with a weapon. He is being held for a bail hearing.
The second suspect is described as Black, standing 6’2” tall, and dressed in all black clothing.
