Lino Fabbro peacefully passed away at the age of 89 after bravely fighting cancer, just shy of his 90th birthday. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family. Originally from Orcenico Superiore, Italy, Lino moved to Canada when he was 18 in search of a better life. He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Margaret, along with his daughters Idelma (Walter) Marcon and Denisa (David) Blackburn. He was also a stepfather to Jim (Lisa) and Cathy. As a proud Nonno, he leaves behind Eddy, Amanda, Aaron, and Andria, as well as several great-grandchildren who adored him. Lino was the beloved brother of Guiditta and the late Rino Fabris; he also mourned the loss of Giuseppe and (Meri) Fabbro; Solidea and (Rino) Rumiel; Rinaldo and (Giulietta) Fabbro; Luigi and (Italia) Fabbro. He had a dear sister-in-law in Barbara (Richard) Roettger and remembered fondly the late Brenda Collins. Many nieces and nephews across Canada, Italy, and Argentina will miss him dearly. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Rumiels for their cherished memories and steadfast support during this tough time. Lino took great pride in being one of the founding members of the Fogolar Furlan Club where he found joy among friends. He dedicated many years working with Eastern Construction before becoming a proud owner of a small construction company called Fabbro Construction. His craftsmanship and work ethic made a lasting impression on his community. Outside work, Lino truly loved spending time in his garden and keeping his yard immaculate. He enjoyed woodworking too-creating beautiful stone pots for flowers that he shared with family and friends. His kindness, creativity, and appreciation for nature will be remembered by everyone who knew him well. The generous help from neighbors and friends will always be cherished by his family. Lino’s life reflected values like family love, friendship, hard work, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. He will be sorely missed but forever held close in heart.
