Toronto police are looking into a case after human remains were found behind a business in north Etobicoke late Tuesday morning.
Authorities received a call to the Rexdale neighbourhood, close to Rexdale Boulevard and Kipling Avenue, just before 11 a. m. regarding reports of an unexpected death.
“At this time we don’t know the cause of death and cannot provide any further detail at this time until an autopsy is done,” a media officer told Toronto.
Police officers and members of the Forensic Identification Service were seen on Tuesday afternoon near a tent in a wooded area behind a car dealership at 109 Rexdale Blvd. What seems to be a homeless encampment there is surrounded by police tape.
