In loving memory of Daniele (Danny) Onorato

We are heartbroken to share the news of Daniele (Danny) Onorato’s passing, who left us peacefully to reunite with his loved ones in paradise. Danny was born on March 12, 1967, in Sudbury, Ontario, to his loving parents Mario and Vincenza Onorato, who welcomed him with open arms in Heaven.

Danny was the dear brother of the late Sam, who surely has him busy in paradise already, and of Rachel and Sarah. He was a beloved brother-in-law to Jim, Tim, Tony and Stephania. Danny was also the devoted partner of the late Joy and a proud father to Damian.

He will be fondly remembered by his cherished nephews and nieces: Vincenzo (Samantha), Sabrina, Angelina, Andrew (Caitlyn), Stevie (Lacee), and Ava. His many cousins and friends at Extendicare Southwood Lakes will miss him dearly as well. Danny was deeply loved by his companion Lisa.

Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents Vittorio and Vigilia Onorato and Ernesto and Emma Barlozzari.

One of Danny’s most significant achievements was being baptized on May 23, 2025; it brought him great peace and happiness. He grew up with a strong love for the Lord as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ, and his faith remained a source of strength throughout his life despite battling Multiple Sclerosis.

His humor along with his humble and generous spirit will always stay alive in the hearts of those who knew him well.

The family wants to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Transition 2 Betterness Palliative Care of Windsor and Essex County for their amazing care, compassion, and pain-free support during Danny’s final days.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234) on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9:00am-11:00am. A funeral service will follow at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00am., followed by burial at Windsor Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Danny’s memory to Transition 2 Betterness.
