An 18-year-old man from Pickering is facing ten charges after police found him inside a stolen car.
Durham Police were alerted to the area around Arathorn Court and Melman Street just before 5 a. m. on Tuesday when reports of a stolen vehicle mapping came in. Officers located the vehicle, managed to block it, and arrested the driver without any issues.
Abdullah Lahir faces several charges, including motor vehicle theft, possession of stolen property (over $5,000), possession of an electronic device used for auto theft, possession of break-in tools, and six counts of failing to comply with court orders.
He has been held pending a bail hearing.
