Dr. Denis Jerome Page, affectionately called “Doc”, was born on December 23, 1949, and peacefully passed away on December 13, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Janis Page (Bessette), along with his cherished daughter Jessica Bakic and son-in-law George Bakic. He took great pride in being a Papa to Stella, Michael, and Nikola Bakic, who brought him immense happiness and fulfillment. His adorable furry companion Baby will also miss him dearly.

He is survived by his siblings: Cathy Walling (late Hugh), Kevin Page (Yvette), and Elise Daragon (Bob). Denis was warmly welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Miriam Page and Ernie Page, as well as his brother, Michael Page. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Donald Bessette (Trish) along with many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

Denis studied at the University of Toronto where he answered his calling to become a dentist. He proudly practiced dentistry for 40 years; he truly loved his job and the patients he served who knew him as “Painless Page.” The countless memories shared with the wonderful staff who worked alongside him throughout the years were dear to him.

Outside of work, Denis led an active lifestyle. He played hockey and baseball while serving as President of The Windsor Chiefs. He enjoyed golfing as a lifelong member of Beach Grove and was an enthusiastic participant at The Windsor Sportsman’s Club as well as The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255 where he built many lasting friendships.

In his final days, Denis found support from friends Mike Klimkowski and Nereo Bagatto. His family extends heartfelt gratitude to both for their kindness in assisting him whenever he needed help. A special thanks goes out to Jessica from Hospice for her compassionate care that ensured Denis received what he deserved along with all the Hospice staff for their unwavering support and kindness. The family is deeply thankful to Hailey, his palliative nurse, for her exceptional care during Denis’s time at home.

Denis will be remembered for his dedication, vibrant personality, love for life, and the profound impact he had on everyone lucky enough to know him. His spirit of kindness, friendship, and commitment to family will remain forever.

Memorial Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Sunday December 28th ,2025 from 2-4 pm and again from 7-9 pm with prayers at 7:30 pm.

Donations in memory of Denis may be made to Hospice of Windsor or the Windsor Essex Humane Society. Online condolences and cherished memories can be shared with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
