A standout performance in December has earned Chatham Maroons forward Alexander Lisi some well-deserved recognition.
He’s been named the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL) Rookie of the Month.
Lisi registered points in four of the Maroons’ six games during December, including three points in Chatham’s 5-4 victory against La Salle on the 14th, where he scored the game-winning goal in overtime.
The 16-year-old then achieved a career-high with five points in the Maroons’ 8-4 win over Waterloo on the 19th and also netted the shootout winner in Chatham’s 2-1 triumph over Waterloo on the 21st.
Lisi made his Ontario Hockey League (OHL) debut on Saturday, January 3, when he was called up as an emergency player for Owen Sound. He was a seventh-round pick (#128 overall) for the Attack during the 2025 OHL Priority Selection Draft.
He is set to take part in the 2026 GOHL Top Prospects Game on January 13 as part of the OHL’s Connor Mc David Top Prospects event in Peterborough.
