La Salle police have reached out to the Ontario Provincial Police for assistance with the town’s first homicide case in four years.
On the night of March 3, officers responded to a residence on Todd Lane and discovered a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim, identified as 43-year-old Nancy Grewal, later died from her injuries at Windsor Regional Hospital.
Authorities have executed search warrants at both the Todd Lane location and Grewal’s residence in Windsor. Those living at the Todd Lane home are not being regarded as persons of interest in this investigation.
The case is currently under active investigation by the OPP Criminal Investigations Branch, with support from the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
Police are looking for any dashcam or surveillance footage that might show a vehicle parked on a gravel laneway on the north side of Todd Lane near 10th Street between 8:45 p. m. and 9:30 p. m.
Investigators would also like to speak with anyone who noticed vehicles parked in that laneway before March 3.
