An Ottawa resident is among the two fatalities from a head-on crash in Renfrew County.

The OPP reported they were called to the scene of a head-on collision involving a pickup truck on Highway 17, located between Anderson Road and Mc Callum Drive in the Township of Mc Nab/Braeside.

This incident occurred on January 31, shortly after 1 p. m.

Both drivers involved, a 55-year-old man from Renfrew and a 71-year-old man from Ottawa, were declared dead at the scene.

Highway 17 was closed for investigation between Anderson Road and Goshen Road but reopened around 9 p. m. on Saturday.

If anyone witnessed the accident or has dashcam footage from that area during that time, they are urged to contact OPP or provide tips to Crime Stoppers.
