Our dear mother has passed away. Patricia Brode (Dame) 1925-2025. November 07, 1925 – September 06, 2025. After a long life of one hundred years, she was surrounded by her loving family. Later in life, Patricia built a wonderful family with Joseph A. Brode (1976). Her children include Cheryl(Sherry) Thomson (Mike 2024), Donna De Marco(Frank), Janice Mc Clelland (Andrew), Kevin Brode (Nancy), and Karen (2015). Grams/Great Grames will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Christopher, Kathryn, Ian, Erin, Joey, Jeffery, Frank, Andrew, Kristen and their spouses Kristy, Tina, Lana, Melissa, Angela and Rob. Pat always cheered on her family in every pursuit they took on. Her caring support and open heart are truly missed. After retiring from her position as manager at Penningtons in Tecumseh Mall, she stayed active by going to the gym four times a week. She was often seen at local venues enjoying music and good times until just a few years ago. Pat traveled to Australia, I taly, Greece, I reland, Hawaii, Mexico, family cruises, and Florida trips. She attended countless recitals and sporting events to show support for her children’s activities as well as those of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A devoted Catholic, she regularly attended Mass along with church events, in later years alongside her sister Bernie and friends where the parish priest lovingly referred to them as the Golden Girls. Pat had a fondness for coffee, music especially swing, and big band tunes along with all the dance moves that come with it. Other favorite pastimes included bingo, casino visits, musical theatre shows, and watching tennis. It’s hard to say goodbye, but we’ll hold onto the life lessons she taught us along with all the wonderful memories we created over so many blessed years together. Her example of kindness, a fun-loving spirit, a love for life, and devotion to God will guide us forward in fulfilling our dreams while striving to live our lives like she did each day.
