She professed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Nice Baptist Church in Jefferson, Arkansas. She later joined Palestine Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She served because the church secretary and was a choir member. In her later years, she worshiped with Christ Temple Church in Conway, AR, in particular person, as well being allowed.
