Flights are cancelled at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga as a result of snowstorm heading to southern Ontario Wednesday afternoon.
The storm might deliver as much as 40 cm of snow in components of the province beginning within the late afternoon on Wednesday.
Officers at Pearson Airport are preparing for the storm.
“The GTA’s biggest snowstorm of the season is expected to start this evening, with 20-25 cm of snow forecasted to fall at the airport,” Pearson stated on X.
Visitors administration initiatives might be in place tonight to make sure plane can safely arrive and depart, Pearson stated. Crews might be out clearing runways, taxiways and apron areas by way of the evening and into the morning.
However airways have already cancelled a number of flights and travellers flying tonight may see impacts to their flights, Pearson stated.
