Ontario Provincial Police continued their search on Wednesday for a lacking Fanshawe School pupil, final seen in a distant space east of Port Stanley, Ont., per week in the past.

Search groups have been combing an space of Central Elgin for the girl, 20-year-old Nidhua Muktadir, who was reported lacking by London police on Dec. 4.

She was final seen a day earlier close to Hawk Cliff Highway and Dexter Line in Union, close to the Lake Erie shoreline, police say.

London police mentioned final week that Muktadir had ordered a ride-sharing service, however they did not say the place she was dropped off, or if her closing vacation spot was the realm being searched. It is not clear who final noticed Muktadir earlier than her disappearance.

A nonetheless picture from a surveillance digital camera confirmed her with a small suitcase as she left her dwelling close to Fanshawe School Boulevard and Fleming Drive, police mentioned.

Ontario Provincial Police have led the seek for the 20-year-old. It has concerned the company’s emergency response crew, aviation, canine, and marine models, mentioned Const. Brett Phair of the Elgin County detachment.

“Our marine unit was doing a search of the encompassing space in Lake Erie,” Phair mentioned.

“Hawk Cliff [Road] terminates at a cliff edge to Lake Erie, so we had models within the water looking to get a distinct vantage level and exhaust our search efforts in that space.”

In an announcement on Dec. 5, London police mentioned the 20-year-old was seen sporting a purple-hooded sweater, black jacket, pink and white scarf, white trainers, and was carrying a white backpack.

In an announcement Friday, provincial police described her as being 4 foot eight inches, 110 kilos, with a skinny construct, and shoulder-lengthy curly brown hair, and that she was seen sporting black pants and a white or gray long-sleeved shirt.

“Lake Erie’s edge, particularly in that space, could be very tough to traverse in some areas,” Phair mentioned. “With it being closely wooded round that surrounding space too, it affords some challenges.”

He could not verify whether or not her disappearance was being handled as suspicious, however mentioned “nothing’s been dominated out, come what may. It is only a matter of we’re following up any leads.”

Police and Muktadir’s household are involved for her security, and anybody with any details about the case is requested to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
