BRAMPTON, Ont. – The Metropolis of Brampton says it reached a tentative settlement with the union representing 1,200 municipal workers on Tuesday after staff went on strike final Thursday.
Town says members of CUPE 831, an area unit of the Canadian Union of Public Staff, will maintain a ratification vote on Friday.
Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown says in a press release that town has supplied a “honest, multi-year settlement” just like that of neighbouring municipality Mississauga.
The union has beforehand mentioned it had been making an attempt to barter a cope with town for near 9 months.
The strike had brought about vital disruptions, together with public transit delays, and diminished providers throughout town.
