BRAMPTON, Ont. — The Metropolis of Brampton says it reached a tentative settlement with the union representing 1,200 municipal staff on Tuesday after staff went on strike final Thursday.
Town says members of CUPE 831, a neighborhood unit of the Canadian Union of Public Workers, will maintain a ratification vote on Friday.
Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown says in an announcement that town has supplied a “truthful, multi-year settlement” just like that of neighbouring municipality Mississauga.
The union has beforehand mentioned it had been making an attempt to barter a cope with town for near 9 months.
The strike had prompted vital disruptions, together with public transit delays, and decreased providers throughout town.
