Two members of the Barrie Jr. Sharks gained gold at 2024 U18 Canadian Girls’s Nationwide Hockey Championships, held Nov. 3 to 9 in Quispamsis, N.B.
Sonia Mehta and Amelia Wilkinson have been members of the championship-winning Group Ontario Pink, which defeated Group Quebec by a rating of 1-0 within the ultimate recreation on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Ted Ontario Pink went undefeated on the nationwide championship event, selecting up wins over Group Alberta, Group Saskatchewan and Group Atlantic within the preliminary rounds, topping Group British Columbia within the semifinals, and successful the championship match over Group Quebec.
Mehta performed in all six video games for Group Ontario Pink, selecting up an help in a preliminary win over Group Saskatchewan.
