Published Friday, October 30, 2026 Chad Samuelson from Thunder Bay won the October Thunder Bay 50/50 Grand Prize of $3,083,790 this morning. This is the biggest Grand Prize in Thunder Bay 50/50 history aside from the annual December draw. During the well-known 11:00 Grand Prize winner call, Chad expressed his disbelief at winning. He has been a participant since the very first draw and isn’t the only winner in his family. “I've been buying tickets since the very beginning; my aunt actually won a $5,000 Early Bird prize before,” said Chad. “I just can't believe it, my wife is going to get her dream home.” “This is the largest Grand Prize we have ever awarded outside of our December draws, and we couldn't be happier for Chad and his family,” said Glenn Craig, President & CEO of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. “Thank you to everyone who plays the Thunder Bay 50/50. Your support makes moments like this possible and helps patients right here in Northwestern Ontario.” *NEW* November's Thunder Bay 50/50 is now live, introducing Randomized Early Birds via the Thunder Bay 50/50 Cash Wheel.
