A 31-year-old man from Hamilton has died, and another man is seriously injured after a vehicle crashed into a light pole in Oakville.
Halton Regional Police reported that they were called to the serious accident on Bristol Circle, just south of Plymouth Drive, around 9:45 p. m. on Thursday night.
According to police, a grey Porsche SUV was traveling eastbound on Bristol Circle when it veered off the road and hit the light standard.
The driver, who was 31 years old, was taken to a trauma center where he was later pronounced dead. His passenger, aged 30 and also from Hamilton, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Photos from the scene showed the damaged vehicle lying on its side beside a snow bank.
It remains unclear what caused the vehicle to go off the road. The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this tragic crash.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact investigators.
