The first hint of autumn’s chill will arrive Monday night in parts of southwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada has put out a frost advisory for Sarnia-Lambton, Bruce, Wellington, Huron, Grey, Elgin, and Perth Counties for Monday evening.
“Temperatures are expected to fall to near or below the freezing mark [Monday] night into early Tuesday morning,” read the advisory. “Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible.”
Environment Canada also mentioned that those living in areas prone to frost should cover outdoor plants to help minimize damage.
Low temperatures are expected to be more in line with typical fall weather on Tuesday night and Wednesday night.
