The first hint of autumn’s chill is expected Monday night across parts of southwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada has put out a frost advisory for Sarnia-Lambton, Bruce, Wellington, Huron, Grey, Elgin, and Perth Counties for Monday evening.
“Temperatures are expected to fall to near or below the freezing mark [Monday] night into early Tuesday morning,” read the advisory. “Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible.”
Environment Canada also mentioned that residents in areas prone to frost should cover outdoor plants to minimize potential damage.
Low temperatures are predicted to align more closely with typical fall conditions on Tuesday night and Wednesday night.
