A man from Stoney Creek has tragically lost his life after a two-car accident in Vaughan on Sunday evening.
York police were called to the scene near Jane Street and Brandon Gate Drive around 7:40 p. m.
A yellow vintage sports car, carrying two individuals, collided with a black SUV that had three occupants.
The driver of the sports car was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
Unfortunately, the passenger, a 34-year-old from Stoney Creek, was declared dead at the scene despite efforts by first responders to save him.
The three people in the black SUV were taken to a trauma center for treatment.
According to York police, one passenger is in critical condition while the others have sustained serious injuries.
Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the accident and hasn’t spoken with police yet to come forward, especially those who may have dashcam footage from around that time.
