An employee at Tillsonburg’s Woodingford Lodge has tested positive for COVID-19, the county reported late Sunday night.

The home in Tillsonburg has declared an outbreak and is now closed to visitors.

All residents who had contact with the employee were tested Sunday, the county said, while staff working in the same area begin testing Monday.

Other Woodingford Lodge locations in Woodstock and Ingersoll are not affected.

The declared outbreak at Woodingford Lodge follows an outbreak declared over the weekend at Maple Manor nursing home, also in Tillsonburg, where the health unit is currently reporting one case among staff at the home.

The Southwestern public health unit is also reporting two active cases among staff at the Bethany care home in Norwich, where four people, including three residents, were infected in a November outbreak that claimed the life of elderly resident.
