A 74-year-old man has tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident in Vaughan on Friday evening, according to Ontario provincial police.
The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of Highway 407, close to the Highway 400 northbound interchange. Emergency services were alerted about the crash at around 7:15 p. m.
Paramedics from York Region reported that they transported one individual to a nearby hospital.
As per the OPP’s statement, the motorcyclist, a resident of Cookstown, Ont., located north of Toronto, lost control and collided with a guard rail.
After the investigation, road closures have since been lifted at Highway 407’s eastbound ramp to Highway 400 and two eastbound lanes of Highway 407 leading up to Weston Road.
