The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have announced that they have taken two additional individuals into custody regarding the disappearance and death of Robert Prevost last year, raising the total number of suspects to five.
Prevost, a 63-year-old resident of Clarence-Rockland, was last seen in February 2025 and was reported missing in March. His remains were discovered in the Ottawa River that May, leading to a homicide investigation.
In June, three people were charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and indignity to a body:
Luc Decarie, 51, from St-Gabriel-de-Brandon, Que. Jessica St. Michael, 37, from Ottawa. Yvon Vieno, 38, from Ottawa.
Matthew Blake, a 23-year-old from Arnprior, was apprehended on September 11 and faces charges of second-degree murder, indignity to a dead body and obstructing a peace officer.
A 47-year-old man from Rockland was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with obstructing a peace officer, obstructing justice and accessory after the fact.
The police indicated that the investigation is ongoing and encouraged anyone with information about the case to reach out to the Russell County OPP.
