One of the biggest used book sales in Ontario is happening over four days, starting Thursday in Mississauga.
Book enthusiasts are set to return to the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra’s Giant Used Book Sale, running from tonight through Sunday on the lower level at Sherwood Village (previously known as Sheridan Centre and Sheridan Mall over the years).
This event is recognized as one of the largest book sales in Ontario and marks its 31st year in the city.
The organizers call it “one of the city’s most cherished community events” and a “highlight for both book lovers and music fans.”
The Mississauga Symphony Orchestra’s Giant Used Book Sale boasts thousands of fiction and non-fiction titles, along with vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, board games, and sheet music.
“All items are in excellent condition and listed at unbeatable prices,” stated the book sale organizers in a news release.
The event will be held on:
Sept. 17, from 5-9 p. m. Sept. 18, from 10 a. m.-8 p. m. Sept. 19 (Saturday), from 10 a. m.-4 p. m. Sept. 20 (Sunday), from 11 a. m.-3 p. m. (all items half-price).
Sherwood Village can be found at 2225 Erin Mills Pkwy., just north of the QEW.
Organizers remind everyone that this book sale only accepts cash payments, with all proceeds supporting MSO’s annual concert season, the growing Mississauga Symphony Youth Orchestra, and special large-scale projects like fully-staged opera productions.
This sale is the symphony’s main fundraising event for the year.
