London police report that a pedestrian has passed away from injuries sustained after being hit by a vehicle late Wednesday night in the northwest part of the city.
Emergency crews responded to Sarnia Road and Chapman Court around 11:20 p. m., according to police. At that time, the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver stayed at the scene.
The police have not yet released the name of the victim and haven’t confirmed if any charges will be filed.
The road safety section of London police is currently looking into the incident.
Officials are asking anyone who was in the area between 11 p. m. and 11:30 p. m., who may have seen what happened or has dashcam, residential, or business surveillance footage, to reach out to them.
