July 4, 1946 – August 23, 2026

Mr. James “Jim” Irwin Pattison, age 80 years, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, August 23, 2026 after a lengthy battle with Dementia.

Jim was born on July 4, 1946 in Port Arthur to Ross and Mary Pattison. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the young age of 17 and served for 23 years. After his military career, Jim worked at the airport with Thunder Bay Refuelling until he retired. In his free time, he loved fishing and enjoyed playing tennis and pickleball.

Jim will be greatly missed by his brother Danny and sister-in-law Donna; nieces Lanna (Rylan), Marissa (Matt), and nephew Brett (Leah) along with great niece Eila and great nephews Rory and Lucas. Many cousins and extended family members also survive him.

He was predeceased by his parents Ross and Mary (née Coughlin) Pattison as well as several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private interment will occur later at Riverside Cemetery where Jim will be laid to rest alongside his mother and father.

If friends wish to make a gesture in lieu of flowers, donations to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
